Kandy (and her husband Steve) is the first artist to pick up their Egg from the PAI Egg Harbor office in January, 2025.
Kandy explores how different patinas will look through color testing material interaction in her studio.
Initial design renderings and copper templates are made to translate a two dimensional image into a three dimensional sculpture. February, 2025.
Fabrication of the copper sculpture begins. Febuary, 2025.
The egg is fully encapsulated in copper. Then the design is etched into the material. Next, the copper is worked to create Kandy's signature relief covering the egg. March, 2025.
Kandy applies multiple layers of patinas to the copper relief to create the notable imagery of Egg Harbor. March, 20025
A name is chosen! Don't "Ovoid" Egg Harbor is almost ready to be installed! April, 2025. Final photos will be revealed after the Eggstravaganza Egg Reveal on May 25, 2025.
'Don't Ovoid Egg Harbor' was finally revealed over Memorial Day weekend. It is now on display as part of the 2025 EggStravaganza.
